Now What?

When you’re signed up for a session, the DM/GM/Story Teller or Frankly will contact you via Discord Message or Email before the first session. We will tell you about the digital, online resources for the session that you will need (there is a free version of most of the services that we use, if not we have a few workarounds so it should be at no cost to you), and tell you what service the game will be using (Discord, Roll20, DnD Beyond, TailSpire, etc). Almost all of the services that we use have a free version and we can share the premium benefits from our account with you. Please DO NOT Purchase anything, unless you want to!

What Do You Need?

We live stream to Twitch and upload to our various social media accounts, so the bare minimum you will need is a decent microphone, a quiet place to play, and a stable internet connection. Either a camera or a VTuber Icon/image of yourself or an avatar if you choose not to appear on video.

You do not need to know the rules to the TTRPG that you are signed up for, the GM will explain and teach any necessary rules. Nor do you have to own books to play. Most one-offs run about three hours unless otherwise specified. There will often be one or two but feel free to message the GM in our Prive Streaming Chat to take any additional breaks as necessary. That's awesome - we are always on the hunt for new Game Masters! We are here to support you with tools and help walk you through this process. We love what we do and want you to love it too! We do have some stipulations, however:

Requirements:

1. We require you to have been a player in our One-Off TTRPGs for a bit before you take over a session.
   
2. We hope to have you play with a few different GMs and different players, this way we can find those that fit into our Frankly Community and are a good fit for both sides.
3. This helps you learn how current Game Masters manage sessions and facilitate White Flag Situations which can be triggering to players and audience members.
4. It also shows commitment. Because we hate having to reschedule segments, it lets down the players and the audience members, though we do understand that things do happen and we do need to reschedule from time to time.
5. We do hold the Game Masters to a higher standard than players. You are representing the Frankly Community and we want to be an inclusive and safe community!
6. This one is pretty obvious, but we have to mention it. We also need you to hold yourself and your players to the Twitch Community Guidelines. We know you cannot control everyone, that's why we try to weed out troublesome players before we even go live by looking at how they treat others in the Discord community.
